Fredericktown, Ohio, junior is Stonehill's first All-Region selection since 2011

FRISCO, Texas (March 23, 2016) – Stonehill College junior forward Ryan Logan (Fredericktown, Ohio/Fredericktown) has been selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' NCAA Division II All-District second team by the District 1 head coaches who are NABC members from the East Region.
Logan, a two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, earns All-East Region honors for the first time in his career. He is Stonehill's first All-Region honoree since Mike Kernan '11 also collected second team honors following the 2010-11 season. Logan, who is the first All-Region selection for third year head coach Chris Kraus '06, adds the award to his All-Northeast-10 first team selection this season after collecting third team accolades as a junior. He has also earned All-Tournament team honors for both the NE-10 Tournament and NCAA Tournament's East Regional.
Logan is one of three Stonehill players who have started all 32 games this season, leading the team with 17.7 points (9th NE-10) and 4.2 assists per game (6th). He also ranks among NE-10 leaders with 8.3 rebounds (7th), while also contributing 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes per game, shooting 44.3-percent from the field, including 34.8% (47-135) from three-point range, while converting 73.8% (79-107) of his free-throws. Logan's 11 double-doubles this season (20 career) are second on the team and he has been the Skyhawks top scorer 12 times, their top rebounder 13 games and leading assist man 18 games.
Logan is averaging a team-high 20 points per game in postseason play, with 7.6 rebounds, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game over the five games. He is shooting 43.3-percent from the field in postseason play, including 41.7% (10-24) from three, converting 75% (12-16) of his free-throws. Logan led the Skyhawks to a thrilling 103-101 win over Adelphi University in the NE-10 quarterfinals on February 28, with a career-high 36 points and 11 rebounds.
Logan, who earned NE-10 All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman, became the program's 39th 1,000-point scorer in a 78-44 victory over the University of New Haven on January 12, and currently ranks 20th all-time in program history with 1,263 points in 87 career games (14.5 ppg). He has also totaled 637 rebounds and 255 assists in his career and has shot 43.9-percent from the field, including 37.1% from three-point distance (103-278), converting 71.1% of his free-throws. He has earned Spalding NE-10 Player of the Week honors four times over his career, including a trio of honors this season.
Stonehill (24-8, 15-6 NE-10) is back in action this afternoon at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Frisco, Texas. The Skyhawks are seeded fifth at the Championship and will face fourth-seeded West Liberty University in a national quarterfinal matchup this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. (EDT).
