The Skyhawks look to improve to 8-1 for the first time since 2005 with a win as it caps a four game home stand as part of an opening stretch in which the Skyhawks have played seven of its first nine here at Merkert Gym. Stonehill ranks fifth in the NE-10 for scoring (83.8 ppg) and has moved all the way up to second in scoring defense (68.4 ppg). The Skyhawks lead the NE-10 in assists per game (17.6) and rebounding margin (+10.1), rank third for fewest fouls committed per game (16.8) and three-point percentage defense (.402), fourth for field goal percentage (.482), fifth for three-point percentage (.414) and three-point percentage defense (.341), second for three-point field goals per game (11.1) and sixth for steals (5.4) and blocked shots (3.3) per game. Junior Ryan Logan is averaging a double-double with 21.1 points (5th NE-10) and 10.9 rebounds (2nd) per game, shooting 54.9-percent from the field (10th), including 45.2% from three-point range, converting 70% of his free-throws and adding 3.8 assists (10th) and a steal per game. The Penmen led by one more than five minutes into the second half when they scored 14 straight as part of a 27-4 rush that broke the game open with just over six-and-a-half minutes to play. Senior Rodney Sanders tallied a game-high 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists, with junior Chris Walters adding his fifth double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds, which matched his career high. Freshman Daquaise Andrews netted 15 points and grabbed six rebounds, while junior Devin Gilligan posting 12 points, six boards, three assists, two steals and a block.
