EASTON, Mass. (December 4, 2014) – Saturday's Stonehill College men's and women's basketball Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Southern New Hampshire University will be televised live by New England Sports Network's supplemental channels and produced by Pack Network, both Stonehill and Southern New Hampshire's partner in offering live video webcasts of several home athletic events, including men's and women's basketball.
Saturday's women's basketball game between Stonehill, ranked fourth in this week's D2SIDA Top 25 Media Poll and 10th in the USA TODAY Sports/Women's Basketball Coaches Association(WBCA) Division II poll, and Southern New Hampshire will be broadcast via NESNplus and NESN National at 1:30 p.m. The men's basketball game between Stonehill, ranked eighth in the D2SIDA East Regional poll, and Southern New Hampshire can be seen on NESNplus at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The Stonehill women's basketball team (5-1, 3-1 NE-10) will be looking to bounce back from a 69-64 setback at 16th-ranked Assumption College last night in Worcester, Massachusetts. Senior Tori Faieta (Lynn, Massachusetts/Saint Mary's) is leading the Skyhawks with 20.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.3 blocked shots per game this season, having been named the NE-10 Player of the Week twice. Southern New Hampshire's women (3-5, 0-4 NE-10) seek its first Conference win on Saturday after a 66-54 setback at Franklin Pierce University last night. Postgrad Victoria Wiseman (Montreal, Quebec/New Hampton School) is leading the Penmen with 11.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
The Stonehill and Southern New Hampshire men will be playing in front of a television audience for the second-straight year after their February 15 meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire, was also produced by Pack Network for WBIN-TV throughout the Northeast. The Skyhawks (5-2, 3-1 NE-10) will be looking to build off last night's 57-46 victory at Assumption, while the Penmen (4-2, 3-1 NE-10) edged Franklin Pierce74-72 last night in Rindge, New Hampshire. Senior forward Jack Cole (New Providence, New Jersey/New Providence) is off to a strong start to his final collegiate season for Stonehill, averaging 15.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.9 blocked shots per game, shooting over 65-percent from the field, and averaging a double-double with 17 points and 10.8 rebounds per game in NE-10 play. Junior Rodney Sanders (Linden, New Jersey/Linden) leads SNHU with 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game this season.
Stonehill men's and women's basketball return home to Paula Sullivan Court at Merkert Gymnasium next Wednesday, December 10, to host Saint Anselm College. The women tip off at 5:30 p.m., with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m.
With 20 intercollegiate sports, Stonehill boasts one of the top athletic and academic programs in the country. In addition to finishing in the top three in the final NE-10 Presidents' Cup standings ten straight years, the Skyhawks have received the NCAA Division II Presidents' Award for Academic Achievement each of the first three years of the program's existence of honoring programs with an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90-percent or better. The Stonehill has earned a 96% Academic Success Ranking (ASR) by the NCAA, which considers the academic success rate of the institution based on the graduation rate of student-athletes, good for eighth among all NCAA Division II institutions, with 12 Skyhawk teams receiving a perfect rating of 100%. In addition, the Skyhawks are ranked third in the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) Power Rankings for Division II used to assess the academic and athletic standards of all NCAA and NAIA athletic programs.
