Hamor's career-high 30 points with a career-best seven threes leads Skyhawks

Hamor made a career-best 7-of-12 three-pointers as part of 9-for-16 shooting from the field overall while converting 5-of-7 free-throws. He scored 18 points in the first half and was outscoring UMass Lowell until the 7:38 mark of the second half, including a 27-15 margin four minutes into the frame. Hamor also contributed five assists, three rebounds and two steals with no turnovers in 29 minutes of play.

Freshman Jack Cole (New Providence, N.J./New Providence) added ten points, drilling both three-point attempts, eight rebounds and three blocked shots. Senior Andre Tongo (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) finished with nine points, eight rebounds and two assists, while classmate Patrick Lee (Fayetteville, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) chipped in eight points, on 4-of-6 shooting, and seven boards.

UMass Lowell didn't place any players in double figures with senior Dipanjot Singh (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township) leading the way with eight points, converting 2-of-5 three-pointers, and three rebounds. Sophomore Antonio Bivins (Miami, Fla./American) added six points and four rebounds off the bench, while senior John Corbacio (Stoney Creek, Ontario/Bishop Ryan) pulled down seven rebounds (four offensive) and blocked three shots.

Stonehill shot 40.4-percent (21-for-52) from the field, including 46.2% (12-26) in the second half to pull away, while draining 12-of-28 (42.9%) three-pointers and converting 15-of-18 (83.3%) free-throws. The Skyhawks posted a 39-33 rebounding edge and outscored UMass Lowell 27-15 in points off turnovers. UML was held to 25.5% (13-51) shooting, including 5-for-24 (20.8%) in a 15 point first half, connecting on just 3-of-19 (15.8%) three-point attempts.

UMass Lowell led by four (11-7) after two Bivins free-throws nine minutes into the game, but a Hamor three ignited a Stonehill offense that would outscore the River Hawks 24-4 the rest of the half. The Skyhawks opened a ten point lead (23-13) with a three-pointer by junior Adam Fazzini (Drums, Pa./Crestwood) with 3:37 left in the half. Hamor sent Stonehill into halftime with a 16 point (31-15) halftime cushion, scoring the Skyhawks final eight points of the frame, including a three-pointer with two seconds left.

Hamor opened the second half with another three to spark Stonehill to a 27 point advantage (42-15) four minutes in after scoring the first 11 points of the frame. Hamor had eight points in all during that stretch. Cole buried a three to put the Skyhawks up 30 (49-19) with 11:42 to play and the guests were never threatened again. Stonehill's lead grew to as much as 38 (67-29) after a Tongo jumper with 2:53 left.

Stonehill (15-7, 12-6 NE-10) is back in action on Saturday when it returns home to host Saint Michael's College on Senior Day at 3:30 p.m. The game will also be Stonehill's annual "Play 4Kay" Event to benefit the Kay Yow Fund for breast cancer awareness. Fans wearing pink to Saturday's game will be admitted free of charge. UMass Lowell (16-6, 12-6 NE-10) visits Merrimack College on Saturday at 3 p.m.
