Janna Anctil is in her second season as assistant coach with the Stonehill College field hockey program. In addition to her duties with the field hockey program, Anctil also serves as assistant coach with the women's lacrosse program as well.

Anctil came to Stonehill following a standout four year career at Boston College. She was a first team All-Region performer by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) as a junior and senior and was also a member of the NFHCA's Division I National Academic squad both years. Anctil was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-Tournament Team her senior year and was honored as the ACC Player of the Week for her efforts. She was named to the All-ACC Academic Squad twice and was recipient of the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement at BC.

Anctil was an active member of Boston College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), participating in numerous community service projects. She acted as a mentor for freshman student-athletes through BC's Student-Athlete Mentor Initiative.

Anctil began honing her coaching skills as head coach of the U-12 and U-16 teams with Northeast Elite Indoor Field Hockey club in North Andover, Mass. She has also worked several area camps at Boston College, Deerfield Academy and in her hometown of Wolfeboro, N.H.

Anctil earned her Bachelor's Degree in education and human development at Boston College, graduating in 2011.
