Six from Field Hockey Receive NE10 Postseason Honors

Four Skyhawks earn All-NE10 accolades, while two freshmen named to All-Rookie Team

NE10 Announces Field Hockey Postseason Awards

EASTON, Mass. (November 6, 2019) – Six members of the Stonehill College field hockey program have received postseason recognition as the Northeast-10 Conference announced its postseason awards this afternoon.

Senior back Michaela Antonellis highlights Stonehill's four All-NE10 selections with a spot on the first team for the second time in her career. Junior goalkeeper Katie Lammando and sophomore midfielder Sophie Schreck both earn All-NE10 second team honors, while sophomore forward Emma Mawn has been named to the third team. Antonellis is the 31st All-NE10 first team selection in program history, while the four Skyhawks give the program 66 All-Conference selections all-time.

Freshmen Andrea Caradonna and Mackenzie Quigley round out Stonehill's postseason award winners by earning spots on the NE10 All-Rookie Team. It marks the third-straight year Stonehill has placed two first year student-athletes on the team, giving the program 18 All-Rookie Team selections since the NE10 started the award in 2008.

Antonellis, selected to participate in the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division II Senior All-Star Game in Millersville, Pennsylvania, later this month, earns All-NE10 honors for the third-straight year with her first team selection. She also earned All-NE10 first team honors as a sophomore and was named to the second team as a junior. Antonellis has anchored a Stonehill defensive unit this season which ranks fourth in the NE10 and ninth nationally with a 1.19 team goals against average, yielding 9.5 shots, including 5.2 on goal, and 5.5 penalty corners per game with six shutouts. She leads the Skyhawks with three defensive saves, while stepping into the offense on corners to total four goals and two assists for ten points.

Antonellis, an NFHCA Division II and Synapse Sports first team All-American as a sophomore, has started 60 of the 75 games she played over her career. She totaled 12 goals and nine assists for 33 career points, while adding six defensive saves. Antonellis moved to lead the Skyhawks defensive unit after playing in midfield over her first three years. She has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll over the course of her career.

Lammando earns All-NE10 honors for the first time in her career after backboning the Stonehill defense this fall. She played all but 45-minutes in the Stonehill goal in her first season as the starter, posting a 1.19 goals against average and .753 save percentage with 3.6 saves per game and five shutouts over 1,009:45 in her 17 starts. Lammando was named the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week three times this season, posting a career-high 17 saves in the Skyhawks 1-0 double-overtime setback at then No. 3-ranked East Stroudsburg University on September 8.

Lammando has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor roll over her career. She has appeared in 22 career games and posted a 1.16 goals against average and .744 save percentage with 61 saves in 1,081:44.

Schreck also earns All-NE10 honors for the first time with her second team selection as a midfielder. She started all 17 games this season and posted four goals and four assists for 12 points, netting a pair of gamewinning goals and chipping in with two defensive saves. Schreck netted two goals in Stonehill's 5-1 win over Southern Connecticut State University on September 14, while dishing out two assists in wins at Molloy College on October 1 and Saint Thomas Aquinas College on October 5. Schreck has started 32 of her 34 career games played in two seasons, posting six goals and eight assists for 20 points.

Mawn rounds out Stonehill's first time All-NE10 selections with third team honors. She started 15 of her 17 games played this fall and totaled a team-high six assists to go with six goals for 18 points. Mawn posted her first career hat trick in the Skyhawks 6-2 win over Pace University on September 28 and dished out two assists in back to back wins over the University of New Haven on October 23 and Bentley University on October 26.

Mawn was named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll both semesters as a freshman, receiving Academic Distinction status for having a semester grade point average between 3.50 and 3.99 during the spring, while also being named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She has appeared in 33 career games, starting 17, and totaled seven goals and seven assists for 21 points.

Caradonna started all 17 games on Stonehill's defensive back line as a freshman. She chipped in with a goal and assist for three points, while also posting a defensive save. Caradonna was part of a defensive unit that ranks fourth in the NE10 and ninth nationally with a 1.19 team goals against average, yielding 9.5 shots, including 5.2 on goal, and 5.5 penalty corners per game with six shutouts. Her first collegiate goal was the gamewinner in the Skyhawks 2-0 victory at American International College on October 12.

Quigley, who was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on October 8, started seven of her 12 games played during her freshman season. She finished third on the team in scoring with 13 points, netting five goals to go with three assists. Quigley scored a hat trick in Stonehill's 4-2 win at Saint Thomas Aquinas on October 5, capping a string of three straight games with a goal.

Stonehill, ranked No. 5 in this week's NCAA Division II East Regional rankings, saw its season come to a close with an NE10 record matching 21st NE10 Tournament appearance, posting an 11-6 record overall, including 11-3 in the NE10.
