EASTON, Mass. (December 5, 2016) – Three members of the Stonehill College field hockey program are consensus All-America selections as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) and Synapse Sports both released their NCAA Division II All-America award recipients today.

Sophomore forward Kacie Smith (Norwood, Massachusetts/Norwood) is a consensus first team All-American with her selection to the Longstreth/NFHCA and Synapse Sports first team. Senior back Sarah Morse (Westminster, Massachusetts/Oakmont Regional) joined Smith on the Synapse Sports All-America first team to go with second team honors from the NFHCA, while classmate Shea Healy (Greenfield, Massachusetts/Pioneer Valley) collects second team honors from the NFHCA and Synapse Sports.

It marks the third straight year Stonehill has produced three All-Americans, which is one shy of the program record of four set in 2010 and matched in 2013. The trio give the program 30 Longstreth/NFHCA All-Americans all-time, with six during head coach Susan Ciufo's two years at the College. Morse earns All-America honors from both programs for the second straight year, while Smith earned second team All-America honors from Synapse Sports as a freshman and Healy caps her collegiate career with All-America accolades for the first time.

Smith, the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, earns first team All-America honors for the first time in her career with her first selection by the NFHCA and second Synapse Sports recognition. The two-time All-NE10 selection, with first team honors for the first time this fall, started all 20 games for Stonehill and led the NE10 with her 22 goals and 49 points, ranking second nationally for goals and points, scoring a team-high seven gamewinning goals and dishing out five assists. Smith ranks second in the NE10 for gamewinners and seventh in assists.

Smith's 22 goals scored this season rank fourth on the program's all-time single-season list as one of just three student-athletes to score 20-plus goals in a season in program history. Her 49 points and seven game-winning goals are both the fourth-highest totals program history. Smith, a Synapse Sports Division II and NE10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman, earned Longstreth/NFHCA Division II and NE10 Player of the Week honors once this fall. She has started 39 of the 41 games she has played over her first two seasons at Stonehill totaling 36 goals and 12 assists for 84 points, already ranking sixth in program history for career goals and seventh for points.

Morse, a consensus first team All-American as a junior, earned All-America status from both organizations for the second straight year. The two-time All-NE10 first team performer moved to Stonehill's defensive unit this season after collecting first team All-America and All-Conference honors in the midfield as a junior. Morse earned NE10 Defensive Player of the Week honors once this season and led a Skyhawks defensive unit which shared the NE10 lead with eight shutouts, while ranking seventh with a 1.49 team goals against average, limiting opponents to 12.2 shots, including 7.8 on goal, and 7.0 penalty corners per game.

Morse, a CoSIDA Academic All-America At Large third team honoree, was named to the NE10 All-Tournament team as a sophomore and junior, earning Most Outstanding Player honors in 2015 when she helped lead Stonehill to its second straight tournament title. She earned NE10 Academic All-Conference honors as a junior and has been named to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll every semester. Morse started 61 of her 79 career games played at Stonehill, ranking fifth in program history with 24 career assists, while adding six goals for 36 career points.

Healy earns All-America honors for the first time in her career with her second team selection by the NFHCA and Synapse Sports. She earned All-NE10 honors for the first time in her career with first team honors this fall, starting all 20 games in the Stonehill midfield this season. Healy finished tied for second on the team with 17 points (14th NE10), while ranking third with a career-high matching six goals, including three game-winners, and tied for second with a career-best five assists (7th).

Healy, a Synapse Sports Division II All-Rookie Team and NE10 All-Rookie Team choice as a freshman, has been named to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll every semester and Athletic Director's Honor Roll three semesters over her career. She started 61 of her 82 career games played at Stonehill and totaled 15 goals and ten assists for 40 career points, including seven game winning goals, while chipping in two defensive saves. Her seven career game-winning goals are tied for eighth on the program's all-time career list.

Stonehill finished its 2016 season with a 14-6 record overall, including a 9-3 mark in the Northeast-10, in its way to earning the eighth NCAA Tournament bid in program history.
