Sophomore forward Emily Miller (Bridgewater, New Jersey/Bridgewater-Raritan) had a role in all three LIU Post goals in the win as she totaled two goals and an assist. Junior Alyssa Lopresti (Lindenhurst, New York/Lindenhurst) chipped in with a goal, while senior goalkeeper Ericka Parks (Nesconset, New York/Smithtown East) made seven second half saves to hold Stonehill off the scoreboard for the first time this season and first time since last year's NCAA Division II National Semifinal against Merrimack College.

Sophomore Sara Freedman (Hopkinton, Massachusetts/Hopkinton) finished with six saves in the Stonehill cage, including five in the second half. LIU Post held a 12-11 edge in shots, including 10-9 in the second half after both sides had just two shots in the opening 35-minutes. The Skyhawks posted a 2-4 advantage for penalty corners.

Miller gave LIU Post an early advantage off a turnover down the right side and broke in one on one with Freedman for a shot from ten yards out to the keeper's left 7:14 into the game. The game remained a one goal difference until the Pioneers broke it open with a pair of markers 1:17 apart early in the second half. Lopresti tapped in her first goal of the season off a pass from the right side by Miller after Freedman charged out to challenge the cross into an open net 1:15 into the half. Miller capped the scoring with her seventh goal of the season when she collected a loose ball inside the circle and knocked it into the cage 2:32 into the half.
