Stonehill got goals from senior Brittany Ford (Augusta, Maine/Cony) and junior Devin Ingersoll (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry). Sophomore Elizabeth Genovese (Street, Md./North Harford) registered five saves over the opening 52:40 in the Skyhawks cage. Senior Kaitlyn Curtis (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) played the final 17:20.

Anderson netted the lone goal of the first half when she knocked in a rebound at the near post for her second goal of the season at 27:04. Stonehill equalized at 47:09 off a corner from junior Kelsey Davis (Gardner, Mass./Gardner) that was blasted from the top of the arc by Ingersoll for her 11th marker of the season.

Southern answered just over three minutes later when Anderson set up McGinnis for her first goal of the night on a one-timer at 50:33. The Owls extended their lead to two goals at 56:53 with Cebry's 19th of the year off a break down the right side and a low angle shot through the goaltender.

Stonehill closed back within a goal with Ford's seventh of the year when she pounced on a loose ball in front of Dolloff and pushed the ball over the goal line at 58:04. Southern regained its two goal lead with 5:34 remaining with McGinnis' eighth goal of the year on a tip in off a shot from the right side by Cebry off a Stonehill turnover deep in its territory.
