Holden, Mass., freshman honored after four point week for Skyhawks
Foley, who earns the weekly honor for the third time this season, scored a pair of goals for four points in a 1-1 week for Stonehill. She scored the winning goal 1:26 into overtime to lift the Skyhawks to a 3-2 victory at Southern Connecticut State University on Wednesday. Foley also netted the lone goal in Saturday's 2-1 setback at Adelphi University.
Foley has made an immediate contribution in her freshman season at Stonehill, ranking second on the team with eight goals and four assists for 20 points. She leads the team with three game-winning goals (both in overtime) having started all 15 matches. Foley has posted three goals and an assist for seven points in seven Northeast-10 matches.
Stonehill (7-8, 2-5 NE-10) is in action tonight as it hosts Saint Anselm College for a key Northeast-10 matchup at W.B. Mason Stadium at 7 p.m. The Skyhawks are on the road Thursday at Franklin Pierce University at 6 p.m., before rounding out the regular season on Saturday by hosting Saint Michael's College on Senior Day at noon. Stonehill looks to win all three Conference matches to ensure a spot in the upcoming NE-10 Tournament.
