Easton, Mass. - East Stroudsburg junior Kierstyn Denardo punched home the game-winning goal in the second overtime to propel the tenth-ranked Warriors to a 2-1 win over sixth-ranked Stonehill in a matchup of top 10 teams at W.B. Mason Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, ESU improves to 2-0 on the season while Stonehill, playing under head coach Shelly Morris for the first time, falls to 0-1.

Denardo got the Warriors on the board first with her first tally of the season late in the first half when she scored on a penalty corner.

Senior Laura Nimon (Gardiner, Maine) provided the equalizer for the Skyhawks when she took a feed from junior Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) and found the back of the cage.

The game stay even at 1-1 until the second overtime when Denardo beat Stonehill sophomore netminder Courtney Osier (South Dennis, Mass.) with a low, rolling shot the found the left corner of the cage midway through the fourth stanza.

Stonehill, which plays its next three contests on the road against UMass-Lowell, St. Michael's and Southern Connecticut, wont return home until September 13th when they host Bentley.
