EASTON, Mass.-- Senior All-America Kelly Latendresse's (Sidney, Maine) second goal of the match off a penalty corner 4:06 into overtime lifted fourth-ranked Stonehill to a 4-3 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over ninth-ranked Saint Michael's Saturday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium.

Latendresse converted feeds from sophomore Kerri Sullivan (Goffstown, N.H.) and junior Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) on the game-winner for the host Skyhawks (4-1, 2-1 Northeast-10), who rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit with three goals in a 17-minute span to take a 3-2 edge with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation. Junior Kara Brady (Eastham, Mass.) converted a pass from junior Ashley Freeman (White River Junction, Vt.) off a penalty corner in the 43rd minute to slice Stonehill's deficit in half, and Latendresse evened matters in the 55th minute when she took feeds from junior Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, N.H.) and freshman Jackie Ladino (Dartmouth, Mass.) off a penalty corner. Junior Colleen McLaughlin (Methuen, Mass.) gave the Skyhawks a 3-2 lead with 10:50 to play in regulation on Freeman's second assist of the day, but the visiting Purple Knights (3-3, 2-2 Northeast-10) evened things up again just 1:16 later on senior Cassie Dewey's (Lebanon, N.J.) goal, setting up Latendresse's overtime heroics.

Saint Michael's grabbed a 2-0 first half advantage with a pair of goals in less than a five minute span, as freshman Molly DiMasi (Burlington, Vt.) converted a penalty stroke in the 24th minute of action and sophomore Andrea Slaven's (Danvers, Mass.) breakaway tally in the 29th minute staked the Purple Knights to the halftime edge, setting up the wild second half and overtime finish.

Junior Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for Stonehill with six saves on the afternoon, while senior Tina Nardi (Rupert, Vt.) also made six stops in net for Saint Michael's as the Skyhawks outshot the Purple Knights by a 17-10 margin for the match while holding an 11-2 edge in penalty corners.

Stonehill hosts third-ranked and defending NCAA national champion UMass Lowell in a Northeast-10 clash on Wednesday evening at W.B. Mason Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m., as the two teams will meet for the first time since last year's NCAA Division II national semi-finals. Saint Michael's heads to Rindge, N.H. on Tuesday evening to take on Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 6:00 p.m.
