SMITHFIELD, R.I.-- Sophomore Kerri Sullivan's (Goffstown, N.H.) goal with 1:30 remaining in the second overtime lifted fifth-ranked Stonehill to a 2-1 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over Bryant Tuesday evening at the Bryant Turf Complex.

Sullivan converted a feed from junior Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) and netted her sixth tally of the season on a scramble in front of the cage to give the visiting Skyhawks (14-3, 12-2 Northeast-10) their seventh straight victory, enabling Stonehill to maintain a half-game lead on fourth-ranked Bentley for first place in the league standings. Boulis had given the Skyhawks a 1-0 halftime edge when she converted a pass from senior All-America Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, Maine) for her 10th goal of the season 13:07 into the match, but the visiting Bulldogs (10-8, 8-6 Northeast-10) evened matters in the 50th minute of play when senior Laynie Sadler (Rehoboth, Mass.) took a feed from freshman Ashley Rebello (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) for her 13th tally of the season.

Bryant had a chance to win the match on the final play of regulation off a penalty corner but was unable to convert, and the Bulldogs were awarded a penalty stroke midway through the first overtime period, but freshman Caitlan Johnson's (Walpole, Mass.) attempt sailed wide left of the cage, setting up Sullivan's heroics.

Junior Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) picked up her 14th win of the season in goal for Stonehill with a 15-save effort, the second highest total of her career, while freshman Kundayi Mawema (Hare, Zimbabwe) made 12 stops in net for Bryant as the Bulldogs outshot the Skyhawks by a 20-17 margin for the contest.

Stonehill hosts American International in a Northeast-10 outing on Thursday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium beginning at 3:30 p.m., while Bryant heads to Rindge, N.H. on Thursday evening to take on Franklin Pierce in a league match at 6:00 p.m.
