WALTHAM, Mass.-- Senior Lindsey Harrington (Atkinson, N.H.) and junior Heather Buda (East Kingston, N.H.) each netted goals to lead fifth-ranked Bentley to a 2-0 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over fourth-ranked Stonehill Thursday evening at Bentley Field.

Buda gave the host Falcons (5-1, 3-1 Northeast-10) the only goal they would need 13:19 into the match when she converted a feed from senior Amanda Deppe (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.), and Harrington provided an insurance marker for Bentley with 7:55 remaining when she converted a pass from senior Mary Rogers (Watertown, Mass.) off a penalty corner to close out the scoring.

Freshman Alyssa Sliney (Brewster, Mass.) picked up the shutout win with a pair of saves in goal for Bentley, which snapped the visiting Skyhawks' (3-1, 1-1 Northeast-10) 15-match regular season winning streak that dated back to last September. The Falcons, who held a 9-6 edge in shots for the match, also ended a four-match losing skein in the series with Stonehill that dated back to last year, as junior Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) made three saves in the setback for the Skyhawks.

Stonehill hosts ninth-ranked Saint Michael's in a Northeast-10 match on Saturday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Bentley returns to action next Wednesday afternoon when the Falcons head to Smithfield, R.I. to take on Bryant in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at 4:00 p.m.
