EASTON, Mass.-- Junior All-America Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, Maine) and sophomore Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, N.H.) each notched a goal and an assist to lead seventh-ranked Stonehill to a 4-0 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over Franklin Pierce Saturday morning at W.B. Mason Stadium.

The host Skyhawks (12-2, 10-2 Northeast-10) set a school record with their eighth straight triumph dating back to September 14th, as senior Julie Michalos (Norwood, Mass.) gave Stonehill the only goal it would need in the 16th minute of play on assists from Gleason and sophomore Ashley Freeman (White River Junction, Vt.). Latendresse then converted a Freeman feed less than six minutes later for a 2-0 Skyhawk lead at the break, and Gleason’s tally from Latendresse and junior Courtney Campbell (Reading, Mass.) off a penalty corner just 1:14 into the second half extended Stonehill’s edge to 3-0. Freshman Kerri Sullivan (Goffstown, N.H.) then took a Campbell pass off another penalty corner with just over seven minutes remaining to account for the final score.

Sophomore Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) picked up her 12th win of the season and 25th triumph of her career by making a pair of saves in 66-plus minutes of action for Stonehill, as freshman Sara Piper (Hollis, N.H.) played the final 3:50 in net for the hosts. Junior Amanda Pietrazuk (Clinton, Conn.) made 13 stops on the day for the visiting Ravens (5-10, 3-9 Northeast-10) as the Skyhawks outshot Franklin Pierce by a 20-2 margin for the match and held a 17-0 edge in penalty corners.

Stonehill hosts eighth-ranked Southern Connecticut in a key Northeast-10 outing on Sunday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Franklin Pierce heads to Manchester, N.H. on Sunday afternoon to take on Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 3:00 p.m.
