EASTON, Mass.-- Sophomore Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) netted a goal and two assists as sixth-ranked Stonehill used a school-record six goal first half to extend its school-record winning streak to 10 straight with a 7-3 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over Bryant Tuesday evening at W.B. Mason Stadium.

The host Skyhawks (14-2, 12-2 Northeast-10) raced out to a 4-0 lead just 19:05 into the match on markers by Boulis, junior Courtney Campbell (Reading, Mass.) and freshman Kara Brady (Eastham, Mass.) to go with a penalty stroke conversion by sophomore Brittany Dibble (Troy, N.Y.), and after senior Maureen Burns (Derry, N.H.) put the visiting Bulldogs (4-13, 3-11 Northeast-10) on the board 31 seconds after Campbell’s tally, goals by sophomores Colleen McLaughlin (Methuen, Mass.) and Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, N.H.) that came 3:27 apart extended Stonehill’s advantage to 6-1 at the break. Bryant closed to within 6-3 midway through the second half on tallies by sophomore Courtney O’Brien (Tewksbury, Mass.) and junior Laynie Sadler (Rehoboth, Mass.) that came 3:37 apart, and junior All-America Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, Maine) netted her ninth goal of the season with just over eight minutes remaining for the hosts to account for the final score.

Brady, Gleason and Latendresse each finished with a goal and an assist in the win for Stonehill, which also received four assists off the stick of sophomore Ashley Freeman (White River Junction, Vt.). O’Brien finished with a goal and an assist in the setback for Bryant, which also received a helper off the stick of freshman Ashley Miranda (Tiverton, R.I.). The victory was Stonehill’s 14th of the season, the second highest total in school history only behind the 2001 squad’s 15-win campaign.

Sophomore Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) picked up her 14th win of the season in goal for Stonehill with a six-save effort, while sophomore Kasey Kortz (Louisville, Ky.) made 11 stops in 43-plus minutes for Bryant and freshman Marie Grant (Weston, Mass.) made three saves in nearly 27 minutes of play for the visitors as the Skyhawks outshot the Bulldogs by a 25-13 margin for the match.

Stonehill travels to Springfield, Mass. on Thursday afternoon to take on American International in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 4:00 p.m., while Bryant hosts Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 outing on Thursday afternoon in Smithfield, R.I. at 4:00 p.m.
