Andre Barboza returns for his second stint on head coach Eli Gardner's coaching staff in 2021. He returns as position coach of the Skyhawks wide receivers, while also serving as Director of Football Operations.

Stonehill posted its best season in nearly 20 years in Barboza's first season as an assistant, as it finished with its first winning season since 1996 and earned a share of the Northeast-10 Conference regular season championship. The Skyhawks played in its first NE-10 Championship game and ranked eighth in the NE-10 in total offense (353.5 yds/gm) and sixth for scoring (29.2 ppg).

Barboza joined the Stonehill coaching staff after spending one season as tight ends coach at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. The Rock posted a 6-5 record in his lone season under longtime head coach Dr. George Mihalik, including a 5-2 clip in the PSAC. Barboza also earned coaching experience as a pass game coordinator and wide receivers coach at Barnstable (Mass.) High School in 2009 and assistant wide receivers and defensive backs coach in 2006.

Barboza is a 2012 graduate of Youngstown State University, where he was a two-year member of the Penguins NCAA Division I FCS program. He caught four touchdowns over his two year career at Youngstown State, including a five-yard scoring grab against Penn State University in 2010. Prior to his time at YSU, Barboza played two seasons at Erie Community College, where he earned an Associate's Degree in communications studies in 2009, serving as team captain both years as a wide receiver and quarterback. The team captured a Region III Championship during his stay.

Barboza, a native of Barnstable, Massachusetts, earned his Bachelor's Degree from Youngstown State in general studies. He currently resides in Hyannis.
