solo). Made a career-high five tackles (two solo) against New Haven
(10/2). Finished with three tackles (all solo) in shutout victory
at Pace (10/16).
2009: Appeared in
seven games. Finished with three tackles (two solo) and a blocked
kick. Had a tackle assist in collegiate debut at Glenville State
(8/27). Posted a solo stop against American International (9/11).
Blocked a punt that set up a touchdown in win over Saint Anselm
(10/24). Capped season with a solo tackle in win over #24 Bentley
(11/7).
Prep: Prepped one
year at Saint Thomas More School. Served as team captain. Earned
Player of the Week honors three times. Also played lacrosse.
High School: 2008
graduate of Stonington High School. Four year letterwinner for
coach A.J. Massingale, serving as team captain his junior and
senior years. Earned All-Conference honors as a senior. Named
Offenseive Lineman of the Year his senior season, helping team to
ECC Championship. Also lettered in basketball, track and field, and
lacrosse.

September 25, 1989, in Stonington, Conn. Son of Edward and Karen
Gaffney of Stonington. Has a brother, Dan (31) and two sisters, Amy
(28) and Christina (25). Majoring in communication, with a minor in
business management. Greatest sports moment was winning his high
school's Thanksgiving Day game. Aspires to become a football coach.
