TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL STATISTICS TO FOLLOW

EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Lorenzo Perry (Providence, R.I.) rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries to lead Bryant to a 35-14 Northeast-10 Conference football victory over Stonehill Saturday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium.

A pair of Perry scores on runs of 62 and 26 yards sandwiched a 15-yard touchdown pass connection from junior quarterback Charlie Granatell (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) to senior Justin Kix (Shoreham, N.Y.) that gave the visiting Bulldogs (5-2, 5-2 Northeast-10) a 21-0 advantage with 9:09 remaining in the half, but the host Skyhawks (1-6, 1-5 Northeast-10) closed the gap with a pair of visits to the end zone in the final 3:14 of the half, as sophomore quarterback Jon Kaloyanides (Cranston, R.I.) hooked up with fellow sophomore Chris Palmer (Santa Barbara, Calif.) on a 46-yard touchdown pass after Bryant was unable to convert a 4th-and-1 from midfield. The Bulldogs then fumbled the ensuing kickoff that was recovered by Stonehill at the Bryant 24, and Kaloyanides plunged in from one-yard out with 34 seconds to play in the half to cut the Skyhawk deficit to seven at the break, as that score was set up on a key 3rd-and-15 conversion run by senior Cliff Mason II (Santa Ana, Calif.).

Perry's third touchdown of the afternoon from 25 yards out on the visitors' first possession of the second half extended Bryant's lead to 28-14, and Granatell and Kix hooked up on a 67 yard scoring pass on the first play of the fourth quarter to close out the Bulldog scoring.

Perry finished with 282 yards of total offense in also hauling in a 35-yard pass, as Granatell completed 13-of-17 passes for 274 yards and his two scores to Kix, who had three catches for 87 yards. Kaloyanides was 15-of-34 for 174 yards and one touchdown for Stonehill, as Palmer and senior Vinnie Williams (Springfield, Mass.) combined for eight catches for 137 yards on the day for the Skyhawks.

Senior Andrew McLarty paced Bryant's defensive effort with 10 total tackles, as sophomores Bryce Martins (Uncasville, Conn.) and Michael Morgan (New London, Conn.) each recorded interceptions for the Bulldogs. Sophomore Jeff Cuqua (Walpole, Mass.) led the way defensively for Stonehill with 10 total tackles, while junior Jabari Prince (Mendon, Mass.) added seven solo stops for the Skyhawks, who recovered four fumbles on the day.

Stonehill travels to Waltham, Mass. next Saturday afternoon to take on rival Bentley in a Northeast-10 outing that kicks off at 2:00 p.m., while Bryant hosts Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 match-up next Saturday in Smithfield, R.I. at 1:00 p.m.
