EAST KINGSTON, N.H. (November 5, 2022)- The Stonehill College equestrian team had another solid weekend as the squad was named reserve champions again with a total of 37 points Saturday at the Turning Point Show Stables.
Highlights
- Stonehill saw two first-place finishes on Saturday, starting with Sarah Herring who took the top spot in the over-fences event in the intermediate division. Haley Whittaker was Stonehill's other first place winner when she won in flat for the limit division. Whittaker capped off her top-five finishes as she came in fifth for over fences in the limit division.
- Madeline Ahern had a strong day for the Skyhawks as she had two second-place finishes in her two open division events (over fences and flat).
- Ariel Goharzadeh was yet another rider for Stonehill who had multiple top-five placements on the day. First, Goharzadeh took second place in the intermediate division's flat event and then had a fourth place finish in over fences for the intermediate division.
- Lindsey Simmons had two top-five finishes on the day as she took third in the flat event for the limit division and then fifth in over fences for the limit division.
Other Performances
- In her Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) debut, Rosalie Martin notched a third-place finish in the novice division.
- Kaitlyn Gilson competed in the walk trot division and ended up in third place.
- Kaylee McHale saw a top-five finish in the novice division when she took fourth place.
- Finally, Emma Worster was another top-five rider for Stonehill as she came in fifth place for the flat event in the intermediate division.

Stonehill has a pair of shows next weekend starting on Saturday, November 12 when the squad has their home show at Mor Linn Farm starting at 9 a.m. and then on Sunday, November 13, the squad travels to Boston College for their show also starting at 9 a.m.
