Stonehill Opens Equestrian Season at Sacred Heart

Traendly earns MVP in fences to lead Skyhawk riders in NCAA Head-to-Head

BETHANY, Conn. (October 19, 2009) - The Stonehill College equestrian team opened its fall season with an NCAA Head-to-Head competition with Sacred Heart University at Rivers Edge Farm this weekend.

While Stonehill was defeated by Sacred Heart, 6-4, in the head-to-head, senior Quinn Traendly (Hope Valley, R.I./Chariho Region) earned overall MVP honors for fences with her score of 80 for the competition.

Stonehill is next in action on Saturday for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Home Show at Hobby Horse Farm in Rehoboth beginning at 9 a.m.
