Skyhawks Win Twice Over The Weekend 

Easton, Mass. - The Stonehill Equestrian team showed well in both their events over the weekend claiming victories on both Saturday and Sunday. 

On Saturday, the Skyhawks faced off against Sacred Heart in a head-to-head competition and came away victorious.  Junior Quinn Traendly (Hope Valley, R.I.) was MVP over fences on the day while freshman Emily Snack (Averill Park, N.Y.) was MVP on the flat. 

Sunday, Stonehill took part in the ISHA competition at Holloway farm, and once again came away victors to take the region lead by 31 points. 

Riders performing well included Traendly, who won both her open flat and fences class. As a result, he rode in a ride off and claimed high point rider of the day. 

Senior Chantel LeClair (Walpole, Mass.) won her novice fences class, while junior Kelsey Hill (Dover-Foxcroft, Maine) finished second in her intermediate flat class. Also winning their events were senior Jenna Boyd (Middleton, Mass.), who won her walk trot canter class, and sophomore Alisha Wielgozinski (Amherst, N.H.) who won in her debut in Walk Trot.
