Skyhawks Continue To Lead Region 

Wellesley, Mass. - The Stonehill Equestrian team finished second to Tufts by just one points at the IHSA competition hosted by Wellesley College at Rising Star Farm on Sunday. 

The Skyhawks had four first place finishes on their way to the second place finish.  Junior Quinn Traendly (Hope Valley, R.I.) won her open fences class while freshman Emily Snack (Averill Park, N.Y.) won her intermediate flat class.  Sophomore Alisha Welgozinski (Amherst, N.H.) finished first in her walk trot class and freshman Christine Dwyer (Louisville, Ky.) rounded out the first place finishes with a win in her novice fences class. 

Taking second place in her event was sophomore Kayla Scheider (Vernon, Conn.) who was in the open flat class while junior Rachel Foster (Townsend, Mass.) took second in her intermediate fences class. 

Despite the second place finish, the Skyhawks still lead the region by 28 points going into their final show of the season on March 22.
