Skyhawks Maintain Region Lead With Victory 

Medford, Mass. - The Stonehill Equestrian team used multiple first place finishes to raise its region lead to 25 points with a victory at Tufts over the weekend. 

The Skyhawks were led by sophomore Kayla Schneider (Vernon, Conn.) who won her open flat class and was second over fences for intermediate.  The sophomore then continued in a ride off, winning the champion high point rider of the day award. 

Junior Quinn Traendly (Hope Valley, R.I.) won her open fences class while freshman Emily Snack (Averill Park, N.Y.) won her intermediate flat class. 

Freshman Alex Riccio (Cheshire, Conn.) placed second in novice fences while teammate Brianna Toujian (Hopkinton, Mass.) finished second in her novice flat class. 

Nina Crossley (Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J.) won her walk, trot class while sophomore Callie Ryan (Newtown, Conn.) and freshman Rebecca Rossi (Cranston, R.I.) place their in their respective competitions. 

The Skyhawks return to action when they ride in the holiday tournament at Lake Erie College on December 6.
