Skyhawks Atop Region As Fall Season Closes

Skyhawks Riding High In Region

Beverly, Mass. - With the fall portion the schedule complete, Stonehill sits atop the regional ranking by 20 points following a win at the Endicott competition on Sunday, November 18.

The Skyhawks captured the Endicott show with a 34 point effort, five points ahead of rival Tufts. The host Gulls finished in third with 26 points.

Sophomore Devon Poeta (Old Lyme, Conn.) won the open fences competition, and was second in the open flat, helping her earn reserve high point rider accolades.

Classmate Quinn Traendly (Hope Valley, R.I.) was second in the open flat as well, while
Stephanie Perry (West Wareham, Mass.) won the intermediate fences and came in second was in the intermediate flat. Perry was also high point rider accolades for her performance.

Other key Skyhawk finishes included junior Brianna Touzjian (Hopkinton, Mass.) winning the novice flat competition, freshman Diana Cabral (Bridgewater, Mass.) placing second in the novice fences and classmate Kate Perez (Southampton, Mass.) collecting the top spot in the walk trot canter class.

Stonehill returns to action on March 30th when it hosts its only home show of the season at Dry Water Farm.
