Riders Sit At No. 1 In Region

North Easton, Mass. - The Skyhawks have continued the impressive start to their season, finishing in a first place tie with Wheaton College over the weekend at a show hosted by Bridgewater State.

Freshman Devon Poeta (Old Lyme, Conn.) won the open flat and fences and was the champion high point rider for the day.

Freshman Kayla Schneider (Vernon, Conn.) was also victorious on the day, capturing the intermediate flat and fences. She also collected reserve high point rider for the day honors.

Tri captain Jamie Marsalise (Laurel Hollow, N.Y.) finished second in open flat, while sophomore Quinn Traendly (Hope Valley, R.I.) was second in open flat

Junior Becca Clifford (Rehoboth, Mass.) - intermediate fences class and freshman Hilary Hamlyn (Brewster, Mass.) - Walk-Trot-Cantor class both won their events, while Michelle Alton (Edgartown, Mass.) - Walk-Trot-Cantor and junior Jenna Boyd (Middleton, Mass.) - Walk-Trot-Cantor both finished second. Freshman Kelli Monroe (Swanzey, Mass.) earned a third place finish in Novice fences.
