Kasnet Earns Reserve High Point Rider Honors As Equestrian Takes Reserve Champion Accolades At Boston University Horse Show

HANOVER, Mass.-- The Stonehill equestrian team earned reserve champion (second place) honors on Sunday afternoon at the Boston University Horse Show at Holly Hill Farm, as the Skyhawks posted a team score of 34 points to finish behind only high point champion Boston Universitys 38 point total.

Freshman Lauren Kasnet (Rye Beach, N.H.) was the reserve high point rider of the day, as she posted first place finishes in the intermediate flat and novice fences for Stonehill. Junior Sara Zelazny (San Diego, Calif.) and freshman Bridget Connors (South Yarmouth, Mass.) finished first and second, respectively, in the walk trot canter, while senior Kalyn Healey (Plympton, Mass.) and freshman Jamie Marsalise (Laurel Hollow, N.Y.) recorded second place performances in the open fences for the Skyhawks.

Stonehill returns to action next Saturday morning when the Skyhawks travel to Westford, Mass. to participate in the Boston College Horse Show that begins at 9:00 a.m.
