Sean Callahan is entering his first season with the Stonehill baseball staff as an assistant coach.

Coach Callahan formerly served as the hitting and catching coach for the UMass Boston baseball program. In his two years with the Beacons he led their offense to a Little East Conference regular season title along with their NCAA Division III New England regional birth in 2016. In 2017, Callahan played an instrumental role in guiding the team to a Little East Conference Championship as well as a NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship, earning a bid in the 2017 NCAA Division III College World Series. 

In the summer of 2017, Callahan served as Assistant Coach for the Wareham Gatemen in the Cape Cod Baseball League, overseeing hitters, catchers, outfield and coaching first base.

Callahan is a 2011 graduate of Framingham State University, where he was a four-year member of the Rams baseball team. During his time with Framingham State, Callahan served as an assistant captain in 2010 and was then named team captain in 2011. In 2010, Callahan was named an All-MASCAC selection, while leading the Rams to an impressive 24-win season. Following his 2010 season, Callahan was selected by the North Shore Navigators of the NECBL. 

Callahan now works as a manager and instructor at AtBats Baseball and Softball Training facility in Acton, Massachusetts.
