EASTON, Massachusetts (May 6, 2019) – The Stonehill College baseball team saw freshman Noah Lucier earn Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the league on Monday.

Lucier assisted Stonehill to a 3-1 week including their second series sweep of the season against Saint Anselm College. The Skyhawks defeated the Hawks with scores of 4-2, 8-0, and 4-2, where the 8-0 victory was their fifth shutout of the season.

The freshman went 3-for-4 in the four games played and started in at shortstop where he averaged .750 at the plate with two sacrifice flies. Running the bases, Lucier scored three runs and drove in three RBI for a .700 on base percentage as he also walked there times.

In the field, he saw a 1.000 fielding percentage as he turned one double play, threw out five runners, and assisted in 10 plays.

Lucier concluded the season with a .281 batting average, scoring 12 runs and driving in 15 RBI off two doubles, three triples, and six sacrifice flies and eight walks.  

The Skyhawks concluded the 2019 season with their second series sweep of the season over Saint Anselm College for their first 20-plus win season in three years finishing with a 22-25 overall mark and a 13-14 Conference record.
