Baseball to Host Assumption at Campanelli Stadium

Skyhawks will battle Greyhounds in third game of the series

EASTON, Massachusetts (April 22, 2019) – The Stonehill College baseball will be host Northeast-10 Conference foe Assumption College on Wednesday, April 24 at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, Massachusetts with a 6:00 p.m. first pitch for their Purple & White Game.

Campanelli Stadium is home to the Brockton Rox, who is member of the Future Collegiate Baseball League. 

The Rox kick off their season with a single game against the Nashua Silver Knights in Nashua, New Hampshire on Wednesday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. and will host the North Short Navigators for their home opener on Thursday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m.

The Skyhawks currently sit seventh in the Northeast Division with a 3-7 divisional mark as they are 16-20 overall and 7-9 in the Conference. The Greyhounds are fifth in the Division with a 5-6 record, as they are 20-14 overall and 8-8 in the Conference.

This will be the third game of the series for the two teams as Stonehill has two wins over Assumption. In Worcester on March 28, the Greyhounds fell in 10 innings, 3-2, as Patrick Downey recorded a sacrifice fly for the game-winning run. On April 10, Stonehill took the second game, 7-5, after taking an early 6-1 lead through the fourth inning.

Stonehill will travel to Rindge, New Hampshire to take on Franklin Pierce University for a doubleheader, starting at 3:00 p.m. that was previously rescheduled twice on Tuesday, April 23 prior to the single against Assumption. The third game of the series against the Ravens will be played at a later date.

Fans, there will be no admittance fee for the game against the Greyhounds and concession stands will not be open for the game. Please read through the stadium policies for more information.
