Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Honors: Week 3

EASTON, Massachusetts (March 4, 2019) – The Stonehill College baseball team, who is ranked No. 7 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II East Region Poll, saw freshman Aidan Wilde earn Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the league on Monday.

Wilde assisted the Skyhawks in a 2-1 week, as they are currently 5-3 in the season, including a 4-1 win and 6-5 victory over Concordia (N.Y.) College Sunday in Florida. Stonehill also fell to No. 21 Wilmington (Del.) University, 15-5.

The Milford, Massachusetts native started and played in all three games last week, where he went 4-for-9 at the plate with a .444 batting average. Wilde scored three runs and totaled three RBI, as he tallied his second-career double, first-career triple, and first-career homerun. The third baseman averaged a .500 on base percentage and registered one error on the field.

Currently in the NE10, Wilde is ranked ninth with 10 hits, 21st with a .385 batting average, 22nd with six runs scored, and 28th with five RBI.

The Skyhawks take on Bloomfield College on Tuesday, March 5 in Boca Raton, Florida at Lynn University with a first pitch set for 11:00 a.m.
