EASTON, Mass. (October 2, 2015) – Stonehill College senior outfielder Brian Campbell (Franklin, Massachusetts/Mount Saint Charles Academy) has earned D2 Baseball News Summer All-America first team honors for his efforts with the Martha's Vineyard Sharks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL), it was announced yesterday.

Campbell led the FCBL with a .373 batting average (69-for-185) over the summer as Martha's Vineyard finished atop the East Division standings with a 34-20 record, before making a run to the semifinal round of the league playoffs.

Campbell, whose .373 clip was 20 points higher than the league's second best hitter, recorded 14 doubles, three triples, one home run and 35 runs batted in while drawing 22 walks, stealing 19 bases and scoring 40 runs for the Sharks. The Franklin, Massachusetts native also earned All-FCBL first team honors and went 1-for-3 in the league's All-Star Game as his East squad posted a 4-3 victory.

Campbell collects D2 Baseball News Summer All-America recognition for the second straight year, earning second team honors in 2014 after hitting .352 with four home runs and 33 RBI for the Sharks.

As a junior with Stonehill last spring, Campbell garnered All-Northeast-10 Conference second team accolades after starting all 50 games and hitting .323 (62-for-192) with 11 doubles, two triples, three home runs and 27 RBI. He also scored 49 runs, drew 24 walks and stole 13 bases as the Skyhawks matched their program record for wins (34) and earned their third NCAA Tournament bid in program history.

Over the course of his three-year Stonehill career, Campbell has played in 138 games, hitting .327 (168-for-514) with 32 doubles, seven triples, four home runs and 62 RBI to go with 103 runs scored, 55 walks, and 32 stolen bases. He earned NE-10 All-Conference third team and NE-10 All-Rookie team honors as a freshman in 2013.

Academically, Campbell has been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll on three occasions and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll twice as a biology major.
