2012: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Both Semesters). Athletic Director's Honor Roll (Fall Semester). Division II ADA Academic Achievement. Went 2-4 overall with a 4.50 earned run average in 13 relief appearances for Stonehill. Combined for one shutout and tallied two saves in 16 innings pitched. Allowed 15 hits, 12 runs (eight earned), eight walks and nine strikeouts. Held opponents to a .242 batting average in 62 at-bats. In his first appearance against Felician College on February 24, he did not allow a hit, run or walk in two-thirds of an inning. Stranded eight out of 12 inherited runners he picked up in his 13 relief appearances. Inherited the second most runners on the team out of the bullpen. Fanned a season-high three battes in two innings of work against American International College on April 9 in game two of a doubleheader. Did not allow a run in five relief appearances. Went ten-straight relief appearances without allowing a home run (8.2-straight innings pitched). Did not allow a triple all season. Pitched 3.2 innings of shutout baseball against Saint Anselm College on April 28 yielding two hits and one walk. Picked up his second win of the season in that outing while also allowing the Skyhawks to come-from-behind in the game, eventually winning 7-6, and keep their playoff hopes going late in the season.

2011: Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award. Athletic Director's Honor Roll Spring Semester. NE-10 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll. Finished second in appearances out of the bullpen with 19 on the season. Held opponents to .200 batting average, best on the team. In 37 at-bats with runners on base, held opponents to an .189 batting average. Compiled a 7.65 strikeout-per-nine-innings ratio. Struck out a season-high three batters in one-and-two-thirds innings of relief in a 6-5 win over American International College (4/3). Had two or more strikeouts in four games on the season. Went five-straight appearances without allowing an earned run from April 14 to April 29. Stonehill went 3-2 overall during that span. Pitched two innings against Felician College (2/26) and Southern Connecticut State University (4/16), his longest outing out of the bullpen. Stonehill went 15-4 overall in games he appeared in.

2010: NE-10 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll. Had 19 appearances for the Skyhawks. Had a 3-1 record with a  1.39 ERA. Had 19 strikeouts and five saves over 32.1 innings of work. Had a three hit, six strikeout, 3.1 inning performance in a win over Franklin Pierce Univeristy (5/9).

2009: Had five appearances for the Skyhawks. Had a 6.75 ERA. Had three strikeouts over 5.1 innings of work.

High School: 2008 honors graduate of Trumbull High School. Four-year letterwinner in baseball. Two-year letterwinner in wrestling. Member of Trumbell Legion Post 141.  Two-year member of Junior Legion. Three-year member of Senior Legion. Zone 4 Champions for three years. Member of National Honors Society. 

Personal: Born on June 2, 1990 in New Haven, Conn. Son of Bob and Linda Von Stein of Trumbell, Conn. Has two brothers, Robert (22) and Scott (18). Brother Robert is Stonehill graduate who also played baseball. Majors in physics. Supports the Boston Red Sox and lists Josh Beckett as favorite athlete.
