2012: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Both Semesters). Athletic Director's Honor Roll (Fall Semester). Started in all 49 games for Stonehill, only one of five players to do so on the the squad. Started 25 games at designated hitter, 14 at first base and ten at third base. Hit .290 (51-for-176) with 28 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple, three home runs and 31 runs batted in. Posted a slugging percentage of .403 and an on-base percentage of .388. Compiled a .979 fielding percentage in 188 chances (148 putouts, 36 assists, four errors). Hit .386 against left-handed pitching (17-for-44). Batted .352 with runners on (32-for-91), .293 with runners in scoring position (17-for-58), .444 with runners on third and less than two outs (8-for-18) and .304 with two outs. Knocked in 12 two-out RBI's, third most on the team. Had 12 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games. Had a seven game hitting streak spanning from February 25 to March 9. Collected ten and four RBI's during that span. Had home runs against Concordia (N.Y.) on February 26, American International College (April 9) and Saint Anselm College (April 28). Reached base safely in 42 out of 49 games played via a hit, walk or a hit-by-pitch. Went 3-for-6 with one run scored, one homer and three runs batted in against Saint Anselm College in game two of a doublehaeder on April 28. Knocked in three runs against Saint Michael's College on March 31. Also scored two runs, had a double and walked in the win versus the Purple Knights. Drew five walks in a three-game span from March 24 to March 25 versus Pace University and Adelphi University, respectively. Notched his only triple in the second to last game of the season against Merrimack College going 2-for-4 with one run scored and two runs batted in.

2011: Appeared in 36 games for Stonehill making 32 starts. Batted .208 (25-for-120) with four doubles, one triple and 12 runs batted in. Had a second-best four sacrifice flies for the team. Reached base at a .458 clip as a leadoff hitter in an inning (11-for-24). Went 1-for-3 as a pinch hitter. Batted .500 with a runner on third and less than two outs (5-for-10). Had six multi-hit games highlighted by a season-high three hit performance against Merrimack College on March 29. Also scored a season-high three runs versus the Warriors. Drove in a season-high four runs in going 2-for-5 with one run scored and two doubles against the College of Saint Rose on May 6.

2010: NE-10 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll. Played in 10 games and started four. Had a .402 Batting average (9-for-20), with five RBI, and four runs scored. Had two stolen bases on three attempts. Went 2-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored versus Bentley University (4/7). Went 2-for-4 With one RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases in a game against Saint Anselm College (4/25).  

High School: 2008 honors graduate of Farmington High School. Four-year letterwinner, serving as captain junior and senior year. Earned the Team Connecticut 2004 Michael Zabroski Award. Earned the Team Connecticut 2007 Golden Bat Award. Member of National Honors Society and Spanish Honors Society.

Personal: Born on October 24, 1989 of New Britain, Conn.  Son of Steve F. Popp Jr. and Judith Flynn of Unionville, Conn. Majors in math. Supports the New York Yankees. Baseball team's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative.
