2011: Athletic Director's Honor Roll Spring Semester. NE-10 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll. Made a team-high 20 appearances in his first season exclusively as the team's closer. Posted a program record ten saves to go with a 0-1 record and 3.63 earned run average with 34 strikeouts and 15 walks in 22.1 innings pitched. Combined on four shutouts and allowed just four extra base hits (all doubles), with opposing batters hitting .253 against him. Averaged 13.70 strikeouts per nine innings and picked off two baserunners. Made ten appearances in NE-10 play and posted four saves and a 4.91 ERA with 20 strikeouts and seven walks in 11.0 innings. Had ten appearances in non-conference play and was 0-1 with six saves and a 2.38 ERA with 14 strikeouts and eight walks over 11.1 innings, holding opposing batters to a .179 average. Struck out 18 with six walks and six saves and a 1.86 ERA over 9.2 innings in eight appearances at home. Allowed just two runs (both earned) over his first 19 innings pitched (0.95 ERA) of the season in 16 appearances. Posted his first save of the season with 1.2 scoreless innings, striking out two, in 7-5 win over West Virginia Wesleyan (2/25). Struck out three in 1.1 hitless innings to notch save in 2-0 win over Post (3/25). Earned two inning save with five strikeouts without allowing a hit or run in 6-5 win over American International (4/3). Fanned three in 1.1 inning save over UMass Lowell (4/10). Struck out all three batters he faced to nail down 1-0 win over Saint Michael's (4/25).

2010: NE-10 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll. Played 42 games, starting 40. Made 14 appearances on the mound, all in relief and was 2-2 with four saves and a 1.53 earned run average, striking out 17 with just five walks in 17.2 innings. Allowed just two extra base hits (both doubles). Was also the Skyhawks starting shortstop, hitting .219 (33-for-151) with 13 runs scored, six doubles, a triple, 11 RBI and five stolen bases. Six of his 11 RBI came with two outs. Didn't allow a run in five innings over five postseason appearances for the Skyhawks, notching three of his four saves with nine strikeouts and no walks, yielding just three hits. Earned NE-10 Tournament All-Championship Team honors in helping the Skyhawks win the NE-10 Tournament as he closed out all four wins, with three saves, eight strikeouts and no walks, yielding just one hit in 3.2 innings over the four appearances. Hit .326 (14-for-43) with three runs scored, three doubles, three RBI and three stolen bases in 11 starts at home. Opened the season by going 2-for-4 with two RBI in 4-1 non-conference win over Saint Anselm (3/6). Posted first career save in 3-1 victory at Southern New Hampshire, striking out two in a scoreless inning. Drove in four runs on three hits with a stolen base in doubleheader sweep of Pace (3/20). Also earned a relief win in 10-9 game one win, allowing two unearned runs over 2.2 innings of extra innings victory. Hit 3-for-4 with a double against Southern N.H. (4/5). Was a combined 5-for-9 with a double, triple and two RBI in two wins over UMass Lowell (4/11, 14). Also pitched a perfect inning of relief in 7-2 win at River Hawks (4/11). Struck out both batters he faced to close out 4-1 win over New Haven (5/6) in opening game of NE-10 Tournament. Batted 2-for-4 with an RBI in 5-1 win at #25 Franklin Pierce (5/7) in game two of NE-10 Tournament, adding a perfect inning of relief with two strikeouts on the mound to close out the win. Struck out two of three batters he faced in a perfect inning of relief to notch save in 

3-2 win over Merrimack (5/8) in NE-10 Tournament. Worked around a hit with two strikeouts to clinch NE-10 Championship in 5-4 victory over #25 Franklin Pierce (5/9) in NE-10 Championship round.

2009: Missed season recovering from labrum surgery.

2008: Played 46 of 47 games, starting 45, and hit .248 (40-for-161) with 27 runs scored, six doubles, a team-best five triples and three home runs with 28 RBI. Made four relief appearances on the mound and was 1-0 with a 7.71 earned run average, one strikeout and two walks over 4.2 innings. Started 28 of 29 games in NE-10 play and posted 14 hits, 11 runs scored, three triples and ten RBI. Made just two relief appearances in Conference play, allowing no runs and no hits in two thirds of an inning. Has two hits, including a triple, two runs scored and two RBI in win at Saint Anselm (3/25). Drove in three runs against the Hawks the next day (3/26). Batted 2-for-4 with a triple and run scored against Southern Connecticut State (4/30). 

2007: Saw action in 33 games, making 31 starts. Hit .252 in 103 at-bats. Recorded 26 hits, including seven doubles. Had one homerun and 16 RBI. Led the team with six sacrifice hits. Stole the only base he attempted.

High School: 2006 graduate of Masconomet High School. Three-year letterwinner. Received scholar-athlete honors in both junior and senior seasons. Honor roll student.

Personal: Born on October 7, 1987, in Concord, Mass. Son of David and Karla Shepard of Boxford, Mass. Has two bothers, Kyle (20) and Colin (17), and two sisters, Jacqueline (15) and Michelle (8). Brother, Kyle, is a teammate here at Stonehill. Cousin, Kevin Shepard, played baseball at Boston College and in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Father, David, played basketball at Bentley University. Majoring in history with a minor in sociology.
