Auburndale, Fla. - The Skyhawks improved to 3-2 with a 12-3 drubbing of C.W. Post on Monday morning. It was their third victory over the Pioneers in a span of two days as five different players had RBI in the game.

The teams played a scoreless two innings, and the Pioneers grabbed their only lead of the game in the third. Stephen Orefice singled to left and scored on an RBI single to right field.

Unable to score through the first five innings, the Stonehill bats came alive in the sixth. They started the inning with three straight singles and Rob Von Stein (Trumbull, Conn.) continued the hit parade with a two run single down the left field line. After a pitching change and a Nick Nardacci (Glenmont, N.Y.) strikeout, Mitch Davis (Bow, N.H.) hit a single which scored two more Stonehill runs. The Skyhawks ended the scoring in the inning on a single by Nate Weber (Hanson, Mass.), which scored Davis.

The Pioneers answered right back in the bottom of the inning with two runs to close the gap to 5-3.  However six runs in the seventh, highlighted by a three run single from Nardacci gave the Skyhawks a comfortable 11-3 lead.

Stonehill added another run in the eighth off a Kyle Shepard (Boxford, Mass.) double for the 12-3 final tally.

Andy Hillier (Hanover, Mass.) pitched the first five innings, allowing two hits and striking out three. The relief combination of Justin Perry (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Nardacci pitched the final four innings of work without giving up a run and only allowing two hits.

The Skyhawks return to action on Wednesday when they take on conference rival Bentley at 11:30 a.m.
