Waltham, Mass. - Senior ace Matt Giusti (Hopkinton, Mass.) had another excellent performance on the mound, shutting out Bentley 1-0 with a complete game five-hitter in a Northeast-10 matchup at DeFelice Field on Tuesday afternoon.

The complete game for Giusti was his fourth in five starts and third shutout. The win improves his record to 3-1 and the Skyhawks' ledger to 10-11 overall and 3-5 in Northeast-10 action. In the process, Stonehill snaps the Falcons six-game winning streak and drops Bentley to 14-10 overall and 5-2 in league action.

Junior Scott Hackett (Bangor, Maine) drove in the game's only run in the fifth inning with a groundout to second, scoring Thomas Marino (Garden City, N.Y.), who led off the inning with a double and advanced to third on a single by Mitch Davis (Bow, N.H.).

The Skyhawks rapped out ten hits, including two each from Davis, Ryan Healey (Lynn, Mass.), Javier Guzman (San Juan, P.R.) and a career-high three from Marino.

Giusti, meanwhile, held the hosts to just five hits - two of which came in the first inning - while striking six and yielding no walks.

Bentley senior Brett Fistes takes the hard-luck loss after going the distance, allowing ten hits, striking out three and walking none.

The two squads will meet again on Wednesday in Waltham with the first pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
