North Smithfield, R.I. - Bryant erased a 4-0 deficit in the final three innings to post a 5-4 come from behind win over visiting Stonehill on Tuesday afternoon at the Bryant Baseball Complex.

Bryant scored once in the seventh, twice in the eighth and two more in the ninth to get the win.

Stonehill got on the board in the third inning when Javier Guzman (San Juan, P.R.) drove in two runs with a double.

The Skyhawks struck for two more in the top of the seventh when Matt Orr (Wilton, Conn.) singled home a pair of runs.

Meanwhile, freshman starter Nick Peters (Newton, Mass.) was cruising, allowing just one hit in the first six innings and he entered the seventh having retired 14 straight batters. He opened the frame by hitting the leadoff batter but he was quickly erased on a 5-4-3 double play. The next batter, however, walked and that was followed by a double to left and two more hit batsmen ended Peters' day on the mound and trimmed to lead to 4-1 going into the eighth.

The pitching combination of Dan Corrigan (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Justin Perry (Wilbraham, Mass.) loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth and a two-run single had the game at 4-3 at the end of eight.

A double, a walk and another hit batsman loaded the bases with just one out for Dylan Stone, who promptly singled deep in the hole at short, tying the game at 4-4.

A failed suicide squeeze gave Stonehill its second out but a grounder to short was misplayed and the Bulldogs scored the winning run.

Perry (1-3) takes the loss for the Skyhawks, while freshman John Michael Ryan (1-0) earned the first win of his career with 2.1 innings of one-hit relief.

Guzman was 2-for-4 with two RBI for Stonehill.

The Skyhawks, now 14-11 overall, will continue their three game set with the Bulldogs on Wednesday with a 3:30 start on Lou Gorman Field.
