PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.-- Juniors Jack Cawley (Bronx, N.Y.) and Matt Rigoli (Parsipanny, N.J.) each rapped out three hits and drove in four runs to lead Pace to a 14-2 Northeast-10 Conference baseball victory over Stonehill Tuesday afternoon at Finnerty Field.

The host Setters (15-17, 8-5 Northeast-10) plated all of their runs over the first four innings of play, as Rigoli's grand slam highlighted a six-run second frame and a two-run triple by Cawley was part of a three-run third inning. Zrenda lined a three-run homer as part of a five-run fourth frame for Pace, which collected 15 hits on the day, including two each by senior Ray Caronia (Paramus, N.J.) and junior Matt Arburr (Bristol, Conn.). Sophomore Zach Dayton (North Falmouth, Mass.) allowed a pair of hits and struck out six in five innings of work to improve to 1-1 on the mound for the Setters, as four relievers each pitched one frame for Pace to close out the contest.

Senior Max Vigliotti (Stamford, Conn.), junior David Fradette (Goffstown, N.H.) and freshman Rob Von Stein (Trumbull, Conn.) each had hits in the setback for the visiting Skyhawks (11-16, 5-10 Northeast-10), as Vigliotti and freshman Matt Zitano (East Freetown, Mass.) scored runs on wild pitches in the seventh and eighth frames. Sophomore Matt Giusti (Hopkinton, Mass.) suffered the setback on the mound for Stonehill, fanning a pair in falling to 2-4 on the spring.

Stonehill and Pace will close out their two-game Northeast-10 set on Wednesday afternoon at Gorman Field beginning at 3:30 p.m., as that game has been moved up a day from its originally scheduled date of Thursday due to the impending inclement weather set to hit the region tomorrow night.
