SMITHFIELD, R.I.-- Junior Mark Dondero (Medfield, Mass.) and freshman Taylor Ferguson (Charlton, Mass.) each drove in a pair of runs, including RBI singles as part of a seven-run eighth inning, in leading Bryant to a 10-4 Northeast-10 Conference baseball victory over Stonehill Friday afternoon at the Bryant Baseball Complex.

The host Bulldogs (20-13, 13-3 Northeast-10) snapped a 3-3 tie with its eighth inning uprising, as Ferguson's infield single gave Bryant the lead for good and was followed by Dondero's second run scoring single of the day. A wild pitch, hit batsman and throwing error, coupled with a two-run single off the bat of sophomore Pat McKenna (Orange, Conn.), closed out the scoring in the frame for the Bulldogs, who completed a three-game season series sweep in the process.

An RBI single off the bat of senior Blake Marston (Concord, N.H.) gave the visiting Skyhawks (11-18, 5-12 Northeast-10) a 1-0 lead in their first at-bat, and senior Max Vigliotti's (Stamford, Conn.) run-scoring single in the third extended Stonehill's edge to 2-0. An RBI single by senior Adam Pardo (Hanover, Mass.) in the top of the fourth gave the visitors a 3-1 lead, but Bryant evened matters with a pair of tallies in the bottom of the frame on Ferguson's RBI triple and a sacrifice fly by Dondero, setting up the Bulldog uprising in the eighth. Vigliotti's RBI double in the ninth accounted for the fourth Skyhawk run of the day and closed out the scoring.

Dondero, Ferguson, senior Mike Rocco (Tewksbury, Mass.) and freshmen Nick Campbell (Raynham, Mass.) and Dylan Stone (Portsmouth, R.I.) each rapped out two hits as part of a 14-hit Bryant attack on the afternoon, as junior Eric Loh (Old Greenwich, Conn.) scattered seven hits and struck out four over eight innings to improve to 4-1 on the mound for the Bulldogs. Pardo collected three of Stonehill's eight hits on the day, as Vigliotti added a pair of hits and two RBI for the visitors, who also received two hits from sophomore Nate Weber (Hanson, Mass.). Senior Matt Vaughn (Bow, N.H.) pitched into the eighth inning for the Skyhawks, fanning three along the way in falling to 1-2 on the spring.

Stonehill hosts Saint Michael's in a non-league doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Gorman Field beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Bryant hosts Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 twinbill on Saturday afternoon at the Bryant Baseball Complex beginning at Noon.
