LOWELL, Mass.-- Junior Kevin Graham (Billerica, Mass.) scattered three hits over 7 1/3 innings to collect his seventh win of the season as UMass Lowell claimed the rubber game of a three-game Northeast-10 Conference baseball weekend set from Stonehill with a 3-1 league triumph Sunday afternoon at LeLacheur Park.

The host River Hawks (33-12, 20-10 Northeast-10) plated an unearned run in the bottom of the fourth to grab a 1-0 lead, and UMass Lowell extended its edge to 2-0 in the seventh on an RBI double off the bat of junior Patrick Wilson (Dracut, Mass.). The visiting Skyhawks (28-16, 22-8 Northeast-10) closed to within 2-1 in the eighth on an RBI single by junior Matt Vaughn (Bow, N.H.), but the hosts added an insurance tally in the bottom of the frame on a suicide squeeze off the bat off the bat of freshman Brendan Fullerton (Beverly, Mass.) to close out the scoring.

Sophomore Tim Manton (Swansea, Mass.) collected three of UMass Lowell's seven hits on the afternoon, as Graham overcame four walks and struck out three to improve to 7-2 on the mound for the River Hawks. Sophomore David Fradette (Goffstown, N.H.) rapped out two of Stonehill's five hits in the setback, as sophomore Andy Hillier (Hanover, Mass.) allowed four hits and a run over six innings of work while fanning three to fall to 5-3 on the mound for the Skyhawks.

Stonehill will be seeded second in next weekend's Northeast-10 championships, as the double elimination portion of the league tournament begins next Friday afternoon at LeLacheur Park at 4:00 p.m. UMass Lowell will be seeded either third or fourth in the conference playoffs and will face either Saint Anselm or Bryant in a single elimination first round match-up on Wednesday afternoon at LeLacheur Park beginning at 3:00 p.m.
