FORT MYERS, Fla.-- The Stonehill baseball team picked up its first two wins of the season on Saturday afternoon, as the Skyhawks swept a non-league doubleheader over NCAA Northeast Regional foe C.W. Post by scores of 10-2 in the opener and 9-4 in the nightcap in action at the Gene Cusic Classic.

Senior Sean Lawrence (New Rochelle, N.Y.) went 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs while scoring three times in the opening triumph for Stonehill, which also received three hits and two runs scored from senior Coley Lyons (West Roxbury, Mass.). Senior All-America Billy Sittig (West Roxbury, Mass.) picked up the win on the mound for the Skyhawks in the first game, allowing four hits and striking out five in six innings of work.

Junior Tom Aldrich (New Canaan, Conn.) led the way in the nightcap for Stonehill by going 3-for-4 with a double and a home run, while fellow junior Max Vigliotti (Stamford, Conn.) went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs with a two-run homer. Junior Nick SantaBarbara (Middleton, Mass.) allowed three runs and fanned three over six innings to pick up the win on the mound for the Skyhawks.

Stonehill, 2-1 on the young season after dropping its season opener Friday evening to Gannon (18-13 in 10 innings), continues play at the Gene Cusic Classic on Sunday morning by taking on Regis (Colo.) in a non-league doubleheader at Cape Coral Field beginning at 9:00 a.m.
