EASTON, Mass. (October 3, 2012) - #SkyhawkNation, the go-to Facebook fan page for Stonehill students, will be holding #SpiritWeek October 9-18. #SkyhawkNation is promoting a contest where students will earn preferred seating at "Midnight Madness" on Thursday, October 25, a pizza party prior to the event, free Stonehill gear and infinite residence hall pride.
In conjunction with #SkyhawkNation's #SpiritWeek, the Stonehill Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) also encourages fans to participate in the NCAA Division II Week of Wishes, starting Friday, October 5, which benefits the Make-A-Wish® Foundation. NCAA Division II student-athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, fans, friends and communities across the country have been working hard to make a difference in the lives of Make-A-Wish® families since 2003 and through their fundraising efforts the NCAA Division II community has raised more than $1.9 million in support of the Make-A-Wish® mission. Spirit Week Contest Rules:
Compete with your Residence Hall
during #SkyhawkNation #SpiritWeek!
7 Competing Areas:
New Hall & Notre Dame du Lac, O’Hara Hall & O’Hara Village, Pilgrim Heights Village, Boland Hall, Corr Hall & Villa Theresa, Holy Cross Center, and Colonial & Commonwealth Courts
How to Earn Points:
Students will check-in for their Residence Hall as they enter each athletic event. Points awarded:
5 points – Most residents in attendance
3 points – 2nd most residents in attendance
2 points – 3rd most residents in attendance
+5 points – Fan of the Game
1 person (or group of people) per event will be selected as the “FAN OF THE GAME!"
FOTG earns 5 bonus points for your hall, and the chance to compete at "Midnight Madness."
Fan of the Game (as determined by an underground committee) can be earned in many ways.
Suggestions: Face/body paint, signage, loud chanting/cheering, hall pride, t-shirts, etc. Be creative!
Prize:
The winning Residence Hall earns PREFERRED SEATING at "Midnight Madness" on Thursday, October 25TH, a PIZZA PARTY prior to the event, free Stonehill gear, and infinite HALL PRIDE!

Tuesday 10/9 – Women’s Soccer 3:30, Volleyball 7pm
Wednesday 10/10 – Men’s Soccer 3:30, Field Hockey 6pm
Thursday 10/11 – Women’s Soccer 3:30
Saturday 10/13 – Men’s Soccer 11am, Football 12pm
Sunday 10/14 – Field Hockey 1pm
Thursday 10/18 – Football 7:45pm *Nationally Televised
