All-American captures fan vote via Stonehill's official athletic website and Facebook fan page

EASTON, Mass. (July 13, 2011) - Recent Stonehill College graduate Patrick Fullerton (Bradford, Mass./Haverhill) has earned Ace's stonehillskyhawks.com Male Student-Athlete of the Year honors through an online vote via the Skyhawks official athletics website and Facebook fan page.

Fullerton, a two-time All-American this past season for indoor and outdoor track and field, earned 47-percent of the vote through the two voting outlets used to determine the winner. He earned All-New England and All-East Region honors for cross country as well as during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons during his senior year. Fullerton was also a two-time All-American, placing sixth in the 1500-meter run at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May and also running the anchor leg for the Skyhawks 4000-meter distance medley relay team that turned in a seventh place showing at the Division II Indoor Championships in March.

In addition to the first two All-America honors of his career this past season, Fullerton is a five time All-East Region selection over his two years at Stonehill. He is a two-time All-Region performer in cross country after his fifth place finish at the NCAA East Regional in November. Fulllerton collected All-Region honors for the mile and DMR during the indoor track and field campaign this winter to go with his All-East performance in the 1500 during the outdoor season.

Fullerton posted a fourth place finish to lead Stonehill to a second place team finish at the NE-10 Cross Country Championships in November to collect first team All-Conference honors for the second-straight year. He captured a pair of NE-10 championships at the Outdoor Championships with wins in the 1500 and as the anchor for the Skyhawks 4x800-meter relay team.
