Two of the best women’s basketball teams ever to wear the purple and white, combined to go 57-8 over a two-year span and enter the national spotlight. The 1994-95 women's basketball edition took it a step further moving to the NCAA Final Four with a school-record 30-3 mark and a 17-1 ledger in Northeast-10 action. Stonehill claimed the Conference Tournament title as Michelle Doonan (Player of the Year, first-team All-America) and Paula Sullivan (Coach of the Year) received major awards. The team set program records for most points in a game (109), season (2,718) and field goals made (1,007).
Of the school’s top 20 scorers, five – Sue Patchett (2,140), Doonan (1,965), Kim Trudel (1,730), Esther King (1,190) and Kristen Morast (1,180) – played on either one or both of the teams.
