Sally Scully was a member of Stonehill’s first varsity softball team. The 1979 team finished at 11-4 and was third in the MAIAW Division III standings. The three teams Sally played on had an overall record of 38-12 under coach Fred Petti. The Lady Chieftains finished first in the MAIAW during her junior and senior years when she captained the team. Her .476 career average remains a record. She also had the second-highest season average when she hit .490 in 1980. She is second all-time in triples and home runs and she stole 12 bases as a sophomore and 28 in her career. Sally played left field. Sally lives in West Hartford, Conn.
