NE-10 Regular Season & Tournament Champions
13-5-2, 7-1-1 Northeast-10

The 1990 men’s soccer team enjoyed an outstanding season in which it captured the Northeast-10 Conference “double” by winning both the regular season and tournament championships. Stonehill’s 13 wins was the most since 1985. while its 7-1-1 mark in Conference play is eclipsed only by a 7-0-0 mark in 1985 in program history. Under the direction of Hall of Fame head coach Ernie Branco, the team produced four All-Northeast-10 Conference honorees, including Player of the Year Andy McMahon  - the first Hall of Fame inductee from the men’s soccer program, and Freshman of the Year Jason Hammond. Steve McMenamin joined McMahon on the All-NE-10 first team, while Bob Taylor was a second team choice along with Hammond. Stonehill clinched the second Northeast-10 regular season championship in program history with a 2-1 decision at Saint Michael’s College in late October. The team remained hot into the postseason, opening with a 5-0 triumph over Merrimack in the semifinals after earning a first round bye before topping rival Bentley 2-1 in the final. McMenamin was named Tournament MVP. McMahon led Stonehill with 24 points to earn All-New England accolades, while Hammond’s seven clean sheets still rank as the second-highest single-season total in program history.
