Tom MacDonald, a member of the school's second graduating class, was a two-sport athlete for the baseball and boxing teams.  He most recently served as an assistant coach for the football program. Over the years, Tom has provided numerous opportunities for countless Stonehill student-athletes, including furnishing facilities and equipment. Many saw him as the “Ambassador” of Stonehill College football and he coached football and baseball at Stonehill as well as Bishop Guertin High School in New Hampshire, where he taught ethics and social justice. Guertin created the Tom MacDonald Award in his honor and he earned his MBA from Boston College. MacDonald served on the Braintree School Committee and was a chief contract negotiator at Sanders and Associates in Nashua.
