A 1989 graduate, Brian Cronin was one of the
stars of the 1988-1989 NE-10 Playoff Champion team. He finished his
career with 1,474 points. He averaged 7.4 rebounds and is an
all-time leader in steals with 167. Few people ever played in a
game harder for Stonehill. His career high was 35 against Saint
Michael’s College at home during his senior year. He also had
a career-high 20 rebounds as a freshman against Saint Anselm
College in the Boston Harbor Classic. Brian was the high scorer in
nine games during his senior year, and the high rebounder eight
times. However, his game was complete at both ends of the court and
he was a master in drawing offensive fouls against his opponent. He
shot 48 percent from the floor as a senior and 50 percent for his
career. He finished his career as the seventh top all-time
rebounder with 646. He also shot 40 percent from three-point range
as a senior and for his career. Brian and his wife Lisa live in
Jupiter, Fla.
