Patrick Boen, a former Brockton High standout,
shined on the basketball court and baseball diamond
during his college career. He set the school single-season record
for assists in basketball with 278 during his senior campaign,
leading Stonehill to a Northeast-10 tournament crown and
advancing to the NCAA Division II tournament for the first time in
seven years. Boen ranks second in career assists in school
history. He earned additional success on the baseball
diamond, where he posted a career batting average of .357. He
ranked fifth in the 1988 Northeast-10 batting race with a
career-high .411 average. 2008 marks a decade-long tenure as the
College's baseball coach. Boen ranks as the winningest mentor in
school history with 266 victories and has led Stonehill to 10
straight 20-win seasons since 1998, including a school-record 34
triumphs during the 2000 campaign that saw his squad advance to the
NCAA Division II Northeast Regional title contest.
